We had our annual trip to Yellowstone and the family cabin at Lake Hebgen over Labor Day, and it was a trip to remember. We were fortunate to have Grama Karen and Papa Rick join us this year and the kids loved spending time in one of their favorite places with some of their favorite people. We drove to Cody, Wyoming to visit my 95-year old great aunt who lives at the bottom of the Shoshone River, where the kids had fun collecting rocks and creating their version of a fish pond. We ate ice cream while watching Old Faithful, Bella earned her Yellowstone National Park Rangers Wolf Badge, Jacob found the coolest vintage Yellowstone car and Jackson was sorely disappointed that we saw NO WOLVES! We had a bear visit the cabin one morning, made it through Isabella's high fever, and spent each night with fun card games and long talks. We love this tradition, and look forward to it every year.
